A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in Co Monaghan this morning.
The man, in his 20s, was walking along a road at Aghavilla in Carrickmacross at around 3.45 a.m. when he was hit by a car.
The two occupants of the vehicle were treated for shock.
The man's body was taken to Cavan General Hospital.
