A pedestrian died when he was struck by a car in Co Sligo just after midnight last night.
Gardaí in Ballymote Co Sligo are investigating the circumstances of the collision which occurred on the R296 Tubbercurry to Ballymote Rd.
The man, aged 63, was taken to Sligo General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The road remains closed for technical examination and traffic diversions have been put in place.
