The Dublin Green MEP, Ms Patricia McKenna, has called for a Government funded advertising campaign on the dangers of passive smoking.
She deplored the recent press advertisements by the Philip Morris organisation claiming passive smoking was harmless. The World Health Organisation had found passive smoking was a "major contributory factor" in smoking related cancer, she said.
