A Palestinian trying to get to a hospital collapsed and died from a heart attack at an Israeli checkpoint tonight near Ramallah.
Mr Rubhi Rubin (32) from Gamala village, some 10 kilometres northwest of this West Bank town, died at an Israeli checkpoint near the village of Naalin while trying to get to hospital, Palestinian security sources said.
Mr Rubin arrived at the checkpoint with his doctor in a taxi and complained to the soldiers of chest pains but collapsed of a heart attack and died a few minutes later, according to Israeli military sources.
Attempts to revive him failed.
