Students taking the Higher Diploma in Public Health Nursing in UCC and UCD will be paid a salary while studying next year. They will also have their fees refunded, the Department of Health announced yesterday.
Students will have to make a commitment to work as public health nurses for at least two years with the health board sponsoring them.
