The director of Tralee Institute of Technology, Dr Seβn McBride, was given leave by the High Court yesterday to seek an order quashing a decision of the Minister for Education and Science to suspend him.
Dr McBride was also given permission by Mr Justice ╙ Caoimh to seek declarations by way of judicial review that the purported decision of the Minister, as set out in a letter of November 21st, is void and that, in purporting to suspend him, the Minister acted unreasonably and oppressively.
