Omagh schools to get support

A special support programme will be set up for schools affected by the Omagh bombing

A special support programme will be set up for schools affected by the Omagh bombing. The Northern Ireland Department of Education has pledged to provide £300,000 to fund the project. It will involve up to 10 schools around Omagh.

The initiative, led by the Western Education and Library Board, will allow children who cannot attend school to avail of computers and home tuition. And it will help provide a taxi service to transport injured children to school.

Classroom assistants will work with injured and traumatised pupils.
