The oldest cedar of Lebanon tree in these islands is believed to have been discovered in Adare, Co Limerick.

The oldest cedar of Lebanon tree in these islands is believed to have been discovered in Adare, Co Limerick.

Understood to have been planted in 1645, it was found during a nation-wide survey for the National Tree Register. The cedar is about 33 feet in width and stands in the grounds of Adare Manor, now a luxury hotel.
