Northern Ireland's road fatality toll for 1998 was the worst for seven years, it emerged yesterday. A total of 160 people died on the North's roads - 16 more than in the previous year. Figures released by the RUC showed 18 children were among the dead and some 12,000 people were injured in traffic accidents.
