Lagos - Nigerian students in Lagos and neighbouring Ibadan led a street protest yesterday against the regime of President Olusegun Obasanjo over price rises in petrol products days before a general strike is to take place.
Police in Lagos used teargas to disperse a group of students who had set fire to tyres on main roads in the Yaba, Ojuelegba, Onipanu and Palmgrove central areas of the city.
