Paris - The British Conservative leader, Mr William Hague, warned yesterday that the single currency was an out-of-date project which would take European political union "well beyond its acceptable limits" and trigger a nationalist backlash.
In a speech to the INSEAD management college at Fontainebleau, south of Paris, Mr Hague said: "There is a limit to European integration. We are near that limit now."
