The broadcaster Mark Cagney has joined Today FM, the national commercial radio station. Mr Cagney, formerly of RTE and 98FM, will present the station's weekday midmorning show.
The station, started initially as Radio Ireland, was renamed and relaunched at the beginning of this year. Recent interim listenership figures have shown a significant increase.
