A new marine emergency helicopter will be operating on the east coast by next year, the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, Dr Woods, confirmed yesterday. This would ensure that Ireland's air-sea rescue infrastructure is effectively complete. The existing Dauphin helicopter serving the east is to be re-located to the south/south-east coast.
