Gardaí in Dublin have renewed their appeal for the public's assistance in relation to the shooting of a young man in Fairview last Monday.

A lone gunman, wearing a balaclava and brandishing two handguns, approached a crowd of people outside the Player's Lounge in Fairview shortly before 12.30am.

The pub's doorman, who is in his 30s, was shot in the head, while two customers were also shot in the attack.

Gardaí at Clontarf investigating the shooting incident are renewing their appeal for information about a beige or gold coloured VW Golf bearing false registration plates of 05D57078.

Gardaí are appealing to members of the public to report any sightings of this vehicle, which is thought to have travelled through the Fairview, North Strand, Amiens Street, and South inner city areas during the early hours of Monday last.
