Tokyo - North Korea yesterday repeatedly denied US allegations that it could be building an underground nuclear facility and threatened to scrap a landmark nuclear accord with Washington.

"If the US wants to break the framework agreement while having no idea of making compensation merely because we do not show them the underground facility, we no longer need to observe the agreement inconveniently," said a spokesman for North Korea's Foreign Ministry.
