Dr Mo Mowlam has conceded that she "failed" in not reaching a compromise over Drumcree last summer. Speaking on RTE's Prime Time programme last night, Dr Mowlam said she had failed to tell Garvaghy Road residents what they wanted to know as she had promised. "I didn't understand," she said. But she defended her move in talking to loyalist prisoners in the Maze as "the right decision".
