Motorcyclist killed in M8 crash

A man was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a barrier in Co Cork yesterday.

A man was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a barrier in Co Cork yesterday.

The crash happened on the M8 Dublin to Cork road at Curraghprevin, Rathcormac at 3.15pm.

The 25-year-old motorcyclist was taken from the scene of the crash to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardai from Fermoy are investigating the incident.
