A motorcyclist from the Republic is critically ill in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after being seriously injured in a race in the North.

The rider, who has not been named, sustained head injuries in a crash during one of the 125cc races at Saturday's Enkalon Trophy meeting at Aghadowey. The remainder of the meeting was abandoned after the accident.
