JAKARTA - More East Timorese youths want to leave their troubled homeland to escape harassment from the Indonesian armed forces, a Timorese parliamentarian said yesterday.

Mr Manuel Carascalo, all MP with Indonesia's ruling Golkar party, said that a number of East Timorese youths had complained of widespread harassment in recent months and many said they wanted to leave for foreign countries.
