Former Senator George Mitchell was the special guest at the graduation ceremony of more than 50 young people from west Belfast and Tallaght yesterday.
They were graduating in Belfast from Springboard, which is funded by the International Fund for Ireland. A cross community cross Border organisation, it brings the young unemployed together for work and training. Since its foundation four years ago, 90 per cent of its graduates have gone into full time employment or further education.
