Ankara - Turkey's Defence Minister, Mr Sabahattin Cakmakoglu, said yesterday that Kurdish rebel leader Abdullah Ocalan should be executed despite a European Court ruling, Anatolia news agency reported.
His remarks came on the eve of a crucial meeting between the Prime Minister, Mr Bulent Ecevit, and his two coalition partners, who will decide today whether to heed a European Court of Human Rights ruling calling for the suspension of the execution.
