Brussels - The Belgian Interior Minister, Mr Louis Tobback, has resigned over the death of a Nigerian woman during her forced deportation, the latest in a series of scandals to rock Belgium.
The announcement came as thousands of mourners and protesters attended the funeral, organised by 80 human rights groups, of Semira Adamu (20), who died last Tuesday of a brain haemorrhage after police deporting her back to Nigeria held a cushion over her mouth to silence her.
