Microsoft Ireland has launched an Internet search engine for Irish users that aims to provide more accurate results in a shorter timeframe.

The system only searches the MSM database for .ie domain names or .com sites based in Ireland.

David Graham, MSN business manager, said the search engine "provides an infrastructure that enables us to rapidly innovate and give consumers precisely the information they’re looking for, no matter where it is located."

MSN has come late to the growth area of Internet searching, and is behind Google and Yahoo.
