Paris - Mrs Bernadette Chirac stepped into the spotlight yesterday with a book of memoirs on her life with President Jacques Chirac, neatly timed for his bid for re-election next spring.
Mrs Chirac describes him as "determined and courageous" in a book that co-author Patrick de Carolis has described as a love-letter to her husband.
