The 30-year-old Co Antrim jockey moved to 99 in a slightly fortunate style aboard the Christy Roche-trained Like A Bee, who was left clear in the Claydon Horse Exercisers Beginners' Chase.

McCoy had been trying to repel his old rival Richard Johnson on Breknen Le Noir before Johnson fell at the last fence.

McCoy reached 100 in more straightforward style when partnering Prokofiev to victory in the Countryside Alliance Handicap Chase for his new boss Jonjo O'Neill.
