Enterprise Minister Micheál Martin today begins a five-day IDA visit to the west coast of the US.
The Minister and his officials will meet business representatives in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.
More than 200 Irish companies now employ over 80,000 people across 50 US states.
Contracts worth €55 million for Irish firms in the US were signed during a trade mission last month to New York, Boston and Washington DC.
Mr Martin also visited France for a three-day networking visit last month that coincided with the France- Ireland Rugby World Cup clash.
Enterprise Ireland is planning trade missions to Egypt and Jordan and EU member states Romania and Bulgaria, in coming weeks.
