A man was taken to hospital after a suspected paramilitary shooting in Belfast last night

A man was taken to hospital after a suspected paramilitary shooting in Belfast last night. The man, who was shot in both legs, was found in Downfine Park, Andersonstown, at around 10.15 p.m.

A number of families were moved from their homes in Portadown, Co Armagh, last night after the discovery of a suspect device in Atkinson Avenue. RUC and army bomb experts examined the scene.
