A man is being treated in hospital for stab wounds after an incident in Dundalk early this morning.
The man was stabbed in the head and stomach in the Park Avenue area of the town at around 5.45am.
He was taken to hospital where his injuries are said not to be life-threatening.
The area has been preserved for a technial examination.
