A gunman got away with £4,000 yesterday after abducting a filling station manager in Dublin.

A gunman got away with £4,000 yesterday after abducting a filling station manager in Dublin.

At midday the manager of Nutgrove filling station had set out for a branch of Allied Irish Banks in Rathfarnham to deposit takings when he was accosted by the gunman as he got out of his car.

He was forced back into the car and driven towards Cheeverstown where he was dropped. The gunman continued towards Tallaght.
