Man stabbed to death after Limerick city row

Gardaí in Limerick are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in the city early this morning.

Gardaí in Limerick are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in the city early this morning.

The 42-year-old was apparently set upon by a group out youths outside his house in Ballygrennan Close, Moyross at 2 a.m.

A Garda spokesman said officers were called to the area and found the man lying injured on the street. Efforts to revive him failed and he was dead on arrival at Limerick Regional Hospital.

No arrests have been named and the dead man has not been named.
