A man was shot in the face in an attack at his home in south Dublin early this morning.
The victim, in his twenties, was hit once in the face when a shot was fired through a pane of glass in the front door of his house in Crumlin Road.
He was brought to St James’s Hospital, where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
There were no arrests, and Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the attack, which happened at around 3.30 am. A Garda forensic team is examining the scene.
