Gardaí are investigating a stabbing in Cavan this morning in which a man (20) suffered life-threatening injuries.
The man was found lying on the ground by gardaí after they were called to a house at Aughnaskerry, Cavan, at around 2am.
Officers, who had responded to reports of an altercation, took the man to Cavan General Hospital.
A man (22) was arrested at the scene.
