Man's body recovered from sea off Dublin

Gardaí have appealed for help in identifying the body of a man recovered from the sea at Howth, Co Dublin.

Gardaí have appealed for help in identifying the body of a man recovered from the sea at Howth, Co Dublin.

A lifeboat took the body of a man, believed to be in his 40s, from the sea after a passer-by raised the alarm.

The body was removed to the morgue at Blanchardstown Hospital.

The man was described as around five feet nine inches tall, of average build. He had brown hair and a full beard which was turning grey.

The man was wearing a tan and navy hip length jacket, long-sleeved black sweat shirt, beige jumper and navy and white striped t-shirt. He was also wearing a wedding ring and white Reebok runners.

Gardaí have asked anyone with information on the man to contact Howth Garda Station on 01 666 4900.
