A man's body was discovered in the back seat of a burnt-out car in Dublin city this evening.

The Dublin fire brigade were originally called to a fire at Blackhall Place at 5 p.m. When the gardaí arrived they sealed off the area for technical examination.

The body is to be examined by the Deputy State pathologist, Dr Maire Cassidy.
