The Lough Derg lifeboat rescued a man from a sinking cruiser on Saturday.
The alarm was raised at 5.45pm when the Coast Guard received a report of a cruise boat on rocks and taking on “substantial amounts of water”.
The 10m vessel, with one person on board, drifted on to rocks after suffering engine failure near Carrigahorig bay.
The lifeboat crew went to the scene with one pump, while colleagues transported a second pump to Portumna by road. Efforts to pump out the vessel and refloat it failed despite three pumps being brought to the scene.
The lifeboat helm decided to take all persons off for safety reasons.
The owner of the cruiser returned to the scene on Sunday morning to refloat and recover the vessel.
On Friday night the Lough Derg lifeboat was called out to assist three persons on a motor boat that had suffered engine failure and was reported to be drifting. The vessel was towed to safety.
