A 43 year-old man arrested in connection with the discovery of heroin worth an estimated €8 million in the capital at the weekend has been released from custody.
The man was released without charge last night and a file has been prepared for the DPP.
Yesterday, 24-year-old Stephen McIlroy, Bayside, Sutton, appeared in Dublin District Court where he was charged in connection with the drugs seizure.
The men were arrested when armed members of the Garda National Drugs Unit and Organised Crime Unit moved in on an address on Bayside Crescent, Sutton. A car outside the property was searched and 10kg of heroin was found.
Garda sources indicated the heroin was uncut.
The property on Bayside Crescent had been under surveillance as part of an ongoing operation into a major drugs gang operating in the Donaghmede and Baldoyle areas of north Dublin.
