A man was charged at Belfast Magistrates' Court yesterday with possessing two pipe-bombs and a pistol last week with intent to endanger life. Mr George Dunn (24), Glenbryn Park, was remanded in custody. His solicitor said he would be applying for bail.

The pipe-bombs and a converted Veltro pistol were found in a vacant house at Glenbryn Park in a follow-up search after a shooting at Alliance Avenue in which no one was injured.
