Mr Mark Frederick Stitt (24) of Templemore Avenue, east Belfast, was charged yesterday with the attempted murder of his girlfriend in her flat in Beersbridge Road, Belfast, last Saturday. A detective told the magistrates' court that Mr Stitt answered "no reply" to the charge. he was remanded in custody until May 18th.
