Ronaldo Felloni, a son of the convicted drug-dealer Tony Felloni, was jailed for six months yesterday after he admitted stealing a woman's purse while she sat drinking tea in a hotel.

Felloni (21), of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing the purse from a city-centre hotel on June 9th last.

Dublin District Court heard that the woman left her purse on a table. Felloni took the purse when the woman was not looking, but was later arrested. He had been on temporary release from a five-year sentence for assault with intent to rob at the time.

Judge Murrough Connellan imposed a six-month sentence after hearing that Felloni had eight previous convictions. He also bound him to the peace for a year on another charge of breaching the peace on June 12th last.
