Man jailed for Ennis assault

Eric Considine (23), of John Paul Avenue, Ennis, who is charged with the murder of Belgian national Mr Walter van Dael at an Ennis hostel in July, was yesterday sentenced to four months in jail in relation to an assault in November 1998. He pleaded guilty to the charge a year ago at Ennis District Court and the case was adjourned for 12 months to see how Considine conducted himself.
