Man in stable condition after Belfast stabbing

The PSNI is treating an attack on a young man in north Belfast as attempted murder.

The PSNI is treating an attack on a young man in north Belfast as attempted murder.

He was stabbed in the neck during the assault at Brookvale Avenue near the Waterworks early today.

A number of people were arrested in connection with the incident. The man is in a stable condition in hospital.

Lord Mayor of Belfast Martin Morgan condemned the attack. He said the community must work in partnership with the police to tackle crime.
