A man who died after being hit by a car on the main DublinCork road near Mitchelstown was yesterday named as John Cotter (21), of Captain Keane's Grove, Mitchelstown.
A farm labourer, Mr Cotter died after being hit by a car at Ballinwillin, Mitchelstown, at around 2.20 a.m. yesterday. He was rushed to Cork University Hospital but died later.
