A man being questioned by police about a fatal fire in Co Down was released without charge today.

A man being questioned by police about a fatal fire in Co Down was released without charge today.

The PSNI said they were no longer treating the blaze in Banbridge as suspicious.

Wayne McKnight, 28, died in the fire which started at the semi-detached house at Larchwood Mews shortly before 6am yesterday.

A 27-year-old man rescued from the house by the Fire and Rescue Service remained under police questioning until being released when officers decided no crime had been committed.
