Gardaí are questioning a 44-year-old man in connection with the death of a woman in Dublin at the weekend.
The 37-year-old woman was found at her home on Sherrard Street with serious injuries on Saturday afternoon. She was taken to the Mater hospital where she later died.
A man was arrested yesterday afternoon in Dublin city and is currently detained at Mountjoy Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate all circumstances surrounding the woman's death.
