A man (24) was arrested this afternoon and a firearm seized after he and two others were seen acting suspiciously at the rear of a public house in south Dublin.
Gardai said officers responding to reports of suspicious activity at the rear of The Black Forge Inn in Driminagh followed a man on a motorbike. He was later stopped and arrested and a firearm recovered nearby.
A second man on a motorbike fled the area towards Bunting Road and a third man on foot was last seen going towards Slieve Bloom Park.
The man who was arrested is detained under Section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act at Crumlin Garda Station.
