An aircraft mechanic and garage-owner has been convicted of handling £86,000 worth of stolen clothes in a hangar beside his home in Hacketstown, Co Carlow. Gerry Moorehead (54) was remanded in custody by Judge Kieran O'Connor at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for sentence on March 7th.

Judge O'Connor also ordered the preparation of psychiatric and probation reports.
