A man who had been held in custody on a charge of murder before the State dropped its case, was released on bail yesterday, until his sentence next Thursday for unrelated robberies which he has admitted.

Dean Lyons (24), of Castlepark, Tallaght, had been held in custody since last July, accused of murdering Mary Callinan (61) at sheltered accommodation in Orchard View, Grangegorman, on March 6th last year.
