Man for court over Ferguson 'attack'

A man is due to appear in court charged in connection with an alleged attack on Sir Alex Ferguson.

A man is due to appear in court charged in connection with an alleged attack on Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Manchester United manager was allegedly attacked by a man at Euston station at about 4.30pm on Monday after travelling by train to London. Ferguson suffered minor injuries in the assault, British Transport Police said.

Kevin Reynolds (43), is accused of attacking Ferguson at London's Euston station yesterday.

Mr Reynolds has been charged with actual bodily harm, assault and two public order offences, and is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' court.

The Manchester United manager is not believed to have been badly hurt and attended a function in the capital as planned.
