A 24-year-old held in connection with the fatal shooting of another man in Kilrush, Co Clare is to appear in court this afternoon.
Leslie Kenny (27) was shot at O'Gorman St in the town at about 10.30am on Wednesday.
It is believed that Mr Kenny suffered four gunshot wounds from a licensed double barrel shotgun. The weapon has been recovered by gardaí. Gardaí discovered Mr Kenny's body in the garden of a house in O'Gorman Street.
The man will appear at a special sitting of Ennis District Court at 2.30pm to be charged in relation to the incident.
