A man was tonight charged with attempted murder after a police officer manning a vehicle checkpoint had to jump clear of a car.
The 19-year-old is accused of failing to stop for police shortly after 1.45am this morning on the Doagh Road, Ballyclare, in Co Antrim.
He also faces other motoring offences and will appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
